EA SKATE

The original EA skate launched in 2007 and was immediately beloved by skaters and gamers around the world, quickly becoming the most iconic skate video game on the market. After releasing skate 3 in 2010, the franchise had not announced a new release – until now. EA approached out team at Character to work closely with them to redefine the look, feel, and attitude of the franchise. The overhaul consisted of a new logo, expanded color palette, custom typographic approach, graphic system, and motion toolkit. Strategically, the goal was to evolve the same way that skate culture has, shifting from a narrow boys' club to a diverse, inclusive audience of modern skaters that come from all walks of life.
