Taking place at iconic parks across NYC, New York vs New York is an annual tournament that celebrates basketball culture all summer long by inviting young hoopers to represent their neighborhood and showcase their skills. The event is known to draw the attention of celebrities and athletes alike, all coming out to check out the next generation of emerging athletes. I was brought on to work with the Nike New York office to refresh the visual language of the tournament for a new season, spanning from on court designs, jersey details, illustrations, promotional videos, motion language and more. Additional tasks included art direction and content capture of the games, sourcing and working with photographers and videographers from both a performance and lifestyle/community lens.
